about

Clarity Art Studio specializes in custom glass art, unique jewelry, and photography. Deniece Bonner became fascinated with glass during a ski trip to Aspen, Colorado. In 1974, she taught herself the art of stained glass windows. Since then, she has studied glass under some of the best artists of our time, such as Damian Prior, Judy Bally Jenson, Kathy Bradford and Dan Fenton.

After this, Deniece became interested in other art movements, and has since studied art, painting and drawing at the University of Houston. Her attention to detail and own personal style is a result of her 30 years of expertise in this medium. She majored in horticulture at Southwest Texas (Texas State), and her favorite subjects are birds, fish, flowers, and the outdoors. She has also completed a collection of etched and carved tennis players on lit bases.

Besides glass, Deniece also creates custom jewelry using hand-picked semi-precious stones. She enjoys finding special beads, such as the Mali Dutch Donuts from the 1500’s. Deniece found inspiration from them and created a collection of jewelry around them. Many of her jewelry pieces begin from such an inspired moment.

Having been given a camera when she was 11 years old, Deniece has spent a lifetime shooting photographs. Her love of art and photography has combined to produce wonderful observations of her travels and the world around her. She offers a numbered limited edition series of a few of her best photographs.

Growing up in a family that taught her early about tithing and giving back, she has spent her life volunteering in her community. She is especially drawn to A Glimmer of Hope. She knows first hand how important having water is, especially clean water. In 2008 she and her daughters’ bought a well through A Glimmer of Hope in honor of her Grandmother. Deniece hopes you’ll consider making a donation to help also.

10% of all sales go back to A Glimmer of Hope – helping some of the poorest people on Earth lift themselves out of poverty.
